Going to USA? Wait a minute...

Forget Yosemite. I'm talking about Lake Powell. 4-5 hours driving from Las Vegas. Or just 40 minutes on aircraft from LV. Landing scenes from "Planet of the Apes" were shooted there. You can rent boats with all facilities (kitchen, bedrooms,...) and do a stop wherever you want. Lake has hundreds and hundreds of miles of "coast".
